It was a very satisfying day in a productivity sense. I accomplished a lot at work, I took care of some things at home, I exercised my social meter, I am now taking time to write. It was an overall good day. I think this is because I had balance. I have been told my entire life that I need to find balance, balance is the key to life.
My life has been so busy lately that finding balance in the busyness is often very difficult and I don’t always get it right everyday, and that is okay. I don’t have to be perfect, I don’t have to have it all figured out every moment of every day, and I don’t need every day to look the same.
Today’s takeaway is ultimately learning to celebrate the beauty of today. So here are my wins for the day:
- I ate my lunch outside
- I finished an important project at work
- I talked with my grandma on the phone
- I video chatted with my sister
- I ate food and actually mindfully enjoyed it
- I listened to good music
- I took time to write
- The sun was out
So many things to be grateful for, so many things to celebrate. I want to celebrate myself more often.
The question I leave you with: what are you grateful for today?
